In 1963, the City of Akron's Department of Planning and Urban Renewal released "A Perspective of the Akron Innerbelt." The 22-page report examined the proposed Akron Innerbelt highway as one element of a larger redevelopment plan for the metropolitan transportation system and made recommendations for how the city could proceed with redevelopment.
